THE BRIEF
We at Pure Blast pride ourselves in all the work we do and the differences we create in such short spaces of time! When the directors of Bournemouth FC came to us for a full revamp of part of the stadium we felt very honoured to be a part of it! The surface of the steel structure at the Vitality stadium had started to deteriorate and the paint was flaking and rust was beginning to be a concern.
THE SOLUTION
We worked with the maintenance manager of the stadium and came up with a solution of containing the debris from the blasting work, which due to the size of the job and the height of the roof steels wasn’t an easy fix. A scaffold frame was erected and completely sheeted in not only to protect the grounds and everyone working there but to keep the elements from affecting the steel during their treatment.
THE RESULT
After the steels had been blasted using a fine glass media and running our machines on a lot higher pressure than usual the painters that had been organised to work with us came in and set to work giving it a fresh new coat of primer and subsequent topcoats of the cherries favourite colour Red! It was an amazing transformation, and all the directors of the club were very pleased with the results! From start to finish the whole job went without any problems and the whole north stand of the stadium at Bournemouth FC would be a fine display of a fresh new look!
